Nude Makeup

This one's really great for days when you don't want to look like you have got makeup on, but you don't want to head out just like that either because your face looks damn chui.

Ms Ang to the rescue: The guide to perfecting the skin tone. =D

It's also great for the students who have the occasional skin issues. Dark eye rings, pimples, pimple scars...hide them~ And look like you don't have makeup on. ;)

Of course, do not forget to draw your brows!!! Realized I had forgotten to add that in because my brows have been embroidered. Students, just shade lightly, according to the brow shape. This will look like you have thicker, more defined brows, especially for those who have very sparse hair at the eyebrow area.

  2. Silver! I LOVE YOUR VIDS!

I do not know why but after I applied moisturizer (Oil-free) and liquid foundation, my skin still oily. So, when I applied loose powder, it became uneven. I even on air-con when applying make up. But still oily..... Do you know why?

  4. Anon 8Nov 10:32>> I recommend using deep cleansing masks in between your facials, and if your face gets clots easily, once every 3-4 days. Personally, when my nose gets clots, pore packs are great. I also use the Shiseido Kose's Black Mask whenever I find that my whole face feels unclean and my pores blocked even after washing my face.

Also, have oil blotters, or just tissue paper, ready all the time. So that throughout the day, when you go to the washroom, you can wipe off the excess sebum, instead of just letting them sit there. If the sebum is left there and it oxidises, it may clog up your pores. Hope it's useful!

  5. Ellie, do you wash your face with cleanser before applying moisturizer? If so, you may have to wait for your moisturizer to be fully absorbed before applying your liquid foundation. Lastly, how your blend the foundation is also very important. If all these are not the problems, I recommend using a piece of tissue paper to lightly blot your face before applying loose powder. Let me know if this works! =D

  6. Anon 9Nov 2:05>> U mean the Elisha Coy one? It's available on www.secretive.sg, under "Special Offers". They are offering a 50% discount on that BB cream, so now's a good time to get from the website! Alternatively, you can get it from "ALT" at The Heeren, or all John Little stores.

  7. Hi sweet, find your post really good and thanks for sharing! Just a quest, why do we mix the bb cream with foundation? Why not apply one after another? As I was thinking will it take away the usefulness of the bb cream which helps to brighten the face? Hehe thanks thanks! :)

  8. Anon>> It does brighten the face, yes, but I find sometimes it's a bit too white. BB cream itself is tinted with foundation, that's why it's that colour. But mixing the BB cream with a foundation colour of choice will make the overall effect more natural and suited to your skin tone. Of cos u can apply one after another, but I find mixing together gives a more even colour. Just a choice. =)

  10. I see, just wanted to hear your views on it. I think there's no right or wrong application. Cause i usually apply bb cream and then use my compact powder so as to not look too fair. Hehe have not try liquid foundation before and i think i will after seeing your tutorial :)

  11. Silver!! I really like reading your blog. I like the idea of you sharing your feelings, thinkings etc. Not everyone is willing to share their beauty secrets :)

However, I have one question. According to what I know, there're "yellow tone"and "pinkish tone"of foundation and loose powder. So, you're using which tone?

I wish you all the best and all the good luck in your career and personal life! ~ Ciao

  12. Hey, after I use foundation I will have breakouts?
    Any tips for that? (:

Or isit I'm still going through the puberty stage?

  13. Lauren>> Er...I don't know which one I'm using leh...but I always prefer pink tones. Then again, depending on your skin tone and what suits you, choosing the colour closest to your skin tone will be best. Good to get the counter girl to help u try out a most suitable colour.

  14. Anon>> What foundation do u use? Liquid or normal? It's important that your face is clean before u apply makeup, and that you've done the cleansing and moisturizing. When u apply makeup, make sure your fingers are clean (if u're using fingers to blend) or your sponges are clean. Dirty sponges can lead to bad breadkouts. Wash sponges with your normal soap or shower gels will do. =)
