Hello! I'm back! Just when I think I can rest on my very precious off day, I woke up, somehow, at 4am and started doing my filing of the huge pile of paper clutter that was accumulating in my suspension folders. THEN, I realized my motorbike is due for inspection by Friday, my road tax expires on the same day, and I can't renew my road tax nor send my bike for inspection until I go renew my bike insurance which expires next month! Then I had to go for my waxing session, as well as an appointment with my doctor for my kuku menstrual cycle and another appointment with my property mentor, and I end my day with a session with my trainer. Whoa liao listen already also chuan. Even more hectic than a filming day.
Neh mind, one thing at a time...
You'd expect me to look super haggard now, and honestly, apart from my basic skincare routine, I have not done anything much for the past 1 month. No facials, no DIY masks cos I always just end up crashing on the bed after I dry my hair (wah lao still want me to wait another 20 minutes to remove the mask???), no DIY steaming of my face, nothing.
My skin was breaking out quite badly in the first week after I got back from Shanghai and started working nonstop, pimples on my chin, broken skin in between my nostrils, small milia seeds around my nose and forehead, and blackheads were all over my nose. Sure I was getting more assignments than I've ever gotten, but it wasn't the happiest period of my life. Work revolves in front of the camera, these days in HD, and even with thick makeup you could see the 3-dimensional pimples, popups, and scabs.
I never thought I'd see such a day. (Orbigood la, lazy to take extra care especially when I am already not getting enough sleep...)
Then I got introduced to Egg Pack Facial Soap.
I have been apprehensive about using raw egg white on my face. I've heard that it works wonders for some people, but for others, it causes breakouts. Raw egg contains a lot of harmful bacteria (which is why we cook it and why people with weak stomachs can't take it) and putting it directly on my face just seems kind of, I don't know, risky?
Made into a soap, however, I know for sure it has been heated (to melt everything together) so I'm game. Bring on the eggs!
The main ingredients are Egg White Powder, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Aloe and Shea Butter.
Uses & Benefits:
Egg white is for minimizing pores and repairing of collagen of the skin, aloe to hydrate and soothe the skin (so it's suitable for those with acne/problem skin). Rose water helps to retain moisture and is mildly astringent, and it's used widely to even out skin tone and to firm the skin. Shea butter is renowned for its healing, anti-inflammatory (great for acne-troubled or sunburnt skin!), and antioxidant properties, so it helps promote cell regeneration, circulation and moisturization and is a natural sunblock!
No I don't understand anything. Some of you might, I reckon?
Thank goodness for pictures.
Step 1: Rub soap with net.
Step 2: Retrieve foam.
Of course you need to follow it with Step 3 which is to wash your face with that la!
To ensure product freshness, efficacy and safety, the manufacturing date is printed on the box. Shelf life of the soap is 3 years from date of manufacture.
The egg soap comes with a wash net!
Believe it or not, it wasn't until last year that I found out how to use a soap with a net. More on that later!

Sealed to ensure product safety.
Comes with a mesh bag for you to hold your soap and hang it up so it can drip dry and not become soggy. Just get a little hook and put it up in your bathroom wall. (Make sure you clean the wall area first!)
I'm going to show you what 3 weeks of filming in our sunny weather plus sleep deprivation can do to my face. I don't think I've seen my face in worse state.
Blackheads, excess sebum production even though my skin is supposed to be dry, new freckles which are common occurrences when you have dry skin, dull, sallow complexion, dark circles.
Let's see what this soap does, and how to use the net:
Step 1: Add water to the whole soap + net package.
Step 2: Rub/Wiggle the net around the soap. Foam should start forming easily.
Step 3: Wet your face, then squeeze all the foam out and use it to wash your face.
Note: You can use it this way, or you may rub the mesh with the soap directly onto your face to act as a stronger exfoliant. You may also follow my method, which is to use the soap as a mask. Wash your face once, then perform all the steps again as per 1 & 2, then with the foam/lather, apply it onto your face and leave it for 5 minutes. This serves to deep cleanse and really work to tighten those pores. Used twice a week, you should be able to see results with blackheads. My pimple recovered pretty quickly too.
After 5 minutes and washing off:
Still looks pretty bad hor, but hey, this was the first time I used it, and wait till you see side by sides of the before (left) and after (right):
Lighting remained exactly the same. I felt that my skin was slightly brighter after.
After. With close up of my nose. You can scroll back up to see the same angled close up of the before. I've placed them below for a side-by-side comparison. Notice the improvement in luminosity, as well as pore size.
Follow with your regular skincare regime, and you're good to go~
I'm happy to give this a very good rating, considering it's just a cleanser. Cleansers have never been a focus in my life, but I see how this one makes a difference, so I believe this is here to stay, unless a stronger contender comes up.
